Profile

Prof. Isaac Kwame Dontwi, currently an Associate Professor received his PhD in Mathematics from the Odessa State University, Odessa,Ukraine in 1989. He also earned his MSc. Degree in Mathematics and Cybernetics from Kishinev State University, Kishinev, Moldova in 1984.

Prof. Dontwi is the immediate past head of Department and currently the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences.

He has some publications including Graphing Calculator as a tool for research learning & Teaching of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling of Environmental Systems. His research interests are in Acquiring skills in teaching and research, supervising research work and consulting in the area of Differential Equations, Dynamic Systems,  computational Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling in Environmental/ Ecological and Bio-economic Resource systems.

He is a member of the African Forum for Mathematical Ecologists, University Teachers Association of Ghana, an Associate of the National Centre for Mathematical Sciences and Ghana Science Association.

Prof. Dontwi taught in the University of Cape Coast, Ghana as a Part-time Lecturer, Department of Mathematics [1992–1997] and served as the Faculty Examinations/Timetable Officer and Chief Invigilator, Faculty of Science [1991-1999].
