Profile

William Obeng-Denteh is one of the vibrant young lecturers in the Department.

He obtained his MSc Mathematics degree from the Kwame Nkrumah Unviersity of Science and Technology in 2006 and BSc Mathematics degree from the same university in 2002. He also holds a Diploma in Theology from the then Christian Service College, now Christian Service University College,Kumasi, Ghana. He again holds a Teachers’ Certificate ‘A’ from Offinso Training College.

Mr. Obeng-Denteh acts as the secretary of the Mathematics Board of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

In December,2007 he went to the Mathematics Department,University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom for a research collaboration.

He is carrying out a  research on the topic : ‘Qualitative Study of  Topological Dynamical Systems’. He is a member of the Mathematics Association of  Ghana(MAG).

His research interests are in acquiring skills in mathematical education and research. His specific areas of  interest and research are Topology,Abstract Algebra and  Differential Equations.

He  taught at the Christian Service University College, Kumasi, Ghana as a Part-time Lecturer, Department of Business Administration from 2005-2007.

He currently teaches Analysis  at the undergraduate level to  Engineering and  Mathematics Undergraduates.  He would be going  for his  PhD soon in one of the fields of his interest.

He plays the piano at his leisure. He acquired skills in both the staff and klavar notations.
