Profile

Dr. S. K. Amponsah received his phd in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Birmingham UK in 2003. He also earned his Msc and Bsc degress in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 1994 and 1990 respectively.

He has served as a reviewer for several books journals and monographs both at the national and international levels including Operations Research Society of Africa (OPRA). He has some publications theses and presentations in Operations Research and related areas and has authored eight books.

His research interests are in the areas of Heuristics, Capacitated Arc routing location and Waste Management and Probabiity. He is a member of the African Operations Research Society (OPRA and Mathematics Association of Ghana (MAG).

Dr Amponsah is the board chairman of Board of Directors, Angel Educational Complex, Kumasi. He has taught in the following Universities; The University of Birmingham as a Teaching Assistant, The Garden City University Kumasi, Spiritan Institute of Philosophy Ejisu, and KVCIT, knust as a facilitator.

Dr Amponsah has supervised Undergraduates, Graduate and Phd projects. He is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, KNUST where he has taught since 1994
